What the numbers are

Every real-world figure is calculated from tank fills logged by riders: distance covered between two full tanks, divided by the fuel it took. That is a real measurement of what real bikes returned for real people.

It is not a promise about your bike. Fuel economy moves with traffic, terrain, tyre pressure, load, servicing, fuel and right wrist. A model average tells you what a machine tends to do. It does not tell you what yours will do next Tuesday.

Do not make a purchase, a warranty claim or a legal argument on the strength of a figure here without checking it yourself. We show the sample size on every number precisely so you can judge how much weight it carries.

Brochure and ARAI figures

Claimed and ARAI figures are the manufacturer’s own published numbers, quoted for comparison. They belong to the manufacturer. Most of ours are compiled from published motoring sources rather than confirmed against the manufacturer or ARAI directly, and any figure we have not confirmed is labelled unverified on the bike’s page. Where we have no figure at all we say so instead of guessing. If you believe one is wrong, tell us and we will check it.

Your account

One person, one account. Keep your sign-in to yourself. You are responsible for what happens under your account.

Log honestly, or do not log

This is the only rule that really matters. The entire value of this product is that the numbers were not invented. Deliberately entering fills that did not happen, or readings you know to be wrong, corrupts a shared record that other riders are relying on to make decisions.

Accounts that do this get removed from the public figures, and removed entirely if it continues. There is no tolerance for this and no appeal worth having: a mileage record that can be gamed is worth nothing to anyone, including you.

Honest mistakes are different and entirely expected. Fix them in the app, or flag a missed fill so the maths skips that stretch rather than silently absorbing it.

What you keep, what we can do with it

Your fills remain yours. By logging them you allow us to include them in pooled, anonymous model figures, which is the public record this whole thing exists to build. You can withdraw from that at any time in the app without losing your own data.

Anything you submit that is not your own to give, including photos of other people or content you do not hold the rights to, should not be submitted.

What we do not guarantee

The service is provided as it is. We are a small operation building in the open. There may be outages, bugs and figures that move as more data arrives. We will be straight with you about all three. We are not liable for decisions you take based on the content here, and we do not accept liability for indirect or consequential loss.

Nothing here limits rights you have under consumer law that cannot be limited.

Ending it

You can delete your account at any time from the app. See Privacy for what happens to your data and when. We can suspend an account that is corrupting the public record, as above.

Changes

If these change in a way that matters, we will say so rather than silently editing the page.
